Alchemy World have signed a collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the BioEconomy Association.
The Bioeconomy Association, established in 1998, is a registered NGO that has a farming operation in Addis Ababa where more than 250 young women with children who have lost a spouse to disease or abandonment, live and learn to grow crops and market the excess. The Association is responding to Ethiopia's pressing problems: assisting women by teaching them a trade to help them survive and produce excess food to alleviate some of the threats of famine.
The BioFarm integrates ecological and social disciplines. They teach Agroforestry, Bio intensive farming, livestock and dairy production, apiculture, sericulture, permaculture, bio energy and more.
Our MOU will enable us to undertake the following:
- Jointly explore, design and implement specific projects in Integrated Biofarm systems, social entrepreneurship, and human health improvements poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability so that the resources of both organizations can be utilized more effectively through direct cooperative efforts.
- With the BioEconomy Association's current focus on the practical implementation of groundbreaking innovations in agriculture, Alchemy World envisages the development of young entrepreneurs to utilize the training and technology pioneered by organization.
