The event hosted by Microsoft and Alchemy World attracted the attention of the most important NGO's in Ethiopia. More than 70 participants came to the NGO Day and/or participated in a reception at the Sheraton Hotel, held on January 3rd.
The NGO Day was not only a good opportunity to network between the different NGO's but also to listen to keynote speeches from personalities like Dr. Cheick Diarra, Chairman Microsoft for Africa, Ms. Aida Opokuh-Mensah, Director, ISTD, UNECA and Lilian Kidane, Regional director of the Clinton Foundation.
We got very good feedback from the participants which included organisations like Save the children, USAID/Ethiopia, World Vision Ethiopia, The Clinton Foundation, Pact Ethiopia, Care and GTZ as well as UN-Organisations such as UNFPA and UNESCO.
Microsoft has showed interest in repeating a similar event in six months time.
