Gondar is a city located amongst stunning mountain landscapes over the Northernshore of Lake Tana.  It was once the ancient capital of Ethiopia under many Kings of the Solomonic dynasty.

 

Today Gondar is a very poor but happy place with huge potential.  Gondar is also home to a well-known high-quality University.

 

With assistance and financial support from UNICEF, we hope to open the doors of the Gondar AWSEC in June 2008.

 

The local council is very supportive and are critical to being positively received in the community.
